PARTICIPANT TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms & Conditions apply to participation in OLTRÉ NOVA 2027 — The Artistry Unbound (“OLTRÉ NOVA”), organised by Regal Star Productions (“RSP”).
By submitting a team registration and completing payment, the person registering the team confirms that they have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions and are authorised to provide the information of the participating team members.
1. Team Participation
OLTRÉ NOVA is designed for creative teams consisting of:
one Hair Artist;
one Makeup Artist; and
one Model.
Participants may represent themselves, a school, academy, salon, beauty business or other organisation.
The person completing the registration is responsible for ensuring that the information provided for all team members is accurate and that the team members are aware of their participation.
2. Registration and Payment
Registration is completed on a team basis.
The Team Registration fee is A$399 plus GST.
Teams may also choose the optional Photography Experience for an additional A$99 plus GST, making the combined registration and Photography Experience A$498 plus GST.
Submission of a registration form alone does not confirm participation. A team's registration is confirmed only once the required registration information and payment have been successfully received by RSP.
Registration is scheduled to close on 30 November 2026, unless RSP announces an extension or earlier closure.
3. Participant Information Guide
Participants are required to review the OLTRÉ NOVA 2027 Participant Information Guide before completing registration.
The Guide contains important information regarding the participant experience, creative activities, inclusions, preparation and event expectations.
Participants are responsible for reviewing information and updates provided by RSP before the event.
4. Team Changes and Substitutions
RSP understands that circumstances may change after registration.
Requests to replace a Hair Artist, Makeup Artist or Model must be submitted to RSP as soon as reasonably possible.
Team-member substitutions may be approved at RSP's discretion, taking into account event planning, participant records, submissions and production requirements.
A change to one team member does not automatically require cancellation of the team's registration.
5. Participant Withdrawal and Refunds
Participants wishing to withdraw must notify RSP in writing.
Withdrawals received on or before 15 November 2026 may receive a full refund of the registration fee paid, less any non-refundable payment-processing or transaction fees incurred by RSP.
Withdrawals received from 16 November to 20 November 2026 are eligible for a 50% refund of the registration fee paid.
From 21 November 2026, registration fees are non-refundable for participant withdrawal or change of mind.
Where appropriate, RSP may approve the substitution of a team member instead of cancellation.
Where the optional Photography Experience has been purchased as part of the team's registration, the same withdrawal timeframes apply unless otherwise advised by RSP.
Nothing in this section excludes or limits any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
6. Event Date, Venue and Program
RSP may make reasonable changes to the event schedule, venue, program, production format, activities, speakers, educators, creative sessions or running order where necessary for operational, production, safety or other reasonable event requirements.
Participants will be advised of material changes through the contact details provided during registration.
7. Creative Learning and Demonstration
OLTRÉ NOVA includes a creative learning component as part of the participant experience.
The format, timing, educator or creative professional involved may vary depending on the final event program and available arrangements.
Any demonstration, workshop, discussion or industry guidance provided as part of OLTRÉ NOVA is intended as a creative and educational experience and does not guarantee any particular professional or commercial outcome.
8. Creative Themes and Participant Work
Teams will receive information regarding the relevant creative themes, presentation requirements and submission requirements through the Participant Information Guide and subsequent participant communications.
Creative work presented by a team must be the team's own original interpretation and must not knowingly infringe the intellectual property rights of another person.
Teams are responsible for their own preparation, materials, tools, products, wardrobe and other items required to create and present their work unless RSP expressly advises otherwise.
9. People's Choice
The People's Choice component provides teams with an opportunity to present creative work for audience or public engagement.
RSP may establish reasonable procedures for submissions, presentation, voting, eligibility and verification to support the integrity of the People's Choice process.
RSP may exclude votes or activity that it reasonably considers fraudulent, manipulated, automated or inconsistent with the published voting process.
10. Live Artistry and Runway Presentation
Participants must follow the event schedule, production instructions, allocated preparation times and reasonable directions provided by RSP and authorised event personnel.
Teams are responsible for ensuring that their completed look is ready within the allocated timeframe.
Participation in the runway presentation is subject to compliance with reasonable production, safety and event requirements.
11. Judging, Recognition, Awards and Prizes
Recognition and awards may form part of the OLTRÉ NOVA experience.
Judging criteria, award categories and relevant procedures will be communicated to participants through official event information.
Where judging is involved, decisions will be made according to the published event process. Judging decisions are final except where RSP determines that an administrative error, eligibility issue or breach of event requirements requires review.
RSP may withhold an award where a participant or team is found to have breached eligibility requirements, these Terms & Conditions or applicable event rules.
Any additional prizes, products or opportunities provided by third parties are subject to availability and any conditions communicated in connection with those prizes.
12. Models
Each team is responsible for arranging its own Model unless RSP expressly agrees otherwise.
Teams are responsible for ensuring their Model understands the nature of the creative preparation, photography, backstage environment and runway presentation involved.
Models must comply with reasonable event preparation, wardrobe, safety and production requirements communicated by RSP.
13. Optional Photography Experience
The Photography Experience is an optional addition and is not required for participation in OLTRÉ NOVA.
Teams purchasing the Photography Experience will receive the photography inclusions described in the Participant Information Guide.
Photography arrangements, session timing, image selection, editing and delivery are subject to the specifications and production arrangements communicated by RSP.
Purchasing the Photography Experience does not provide ownership of the photographer's underlying copyright unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
14. Event Photography, Video and Media
OLTRÉ NOVA is a live event and may be photographed, filmed and otherwise recorded by RSP, authorised photographers, videographers and media personnel.
By participating, participants acknowledge that images and recordings of the event may include them and their creative work.
Subject to applicable law and any specific written agreement, participants permit RSP to use event photographs and recordings for reasonable purposes connected with OLTRÉ NOVA and RSP, including event coverage, websites, social media, portfolios, promotional materials and future event promotion.
RSP will not represent a participant as endorsing an unrelated product or service solely because they appeared in OLTRÉ NOVA event imagery.
15. Intellectual Property
Participants retain ownership of intellectual property in their original creative work, subject to any third-party rights that may apply.
Participation gives RSP permission to display, photograph, record and promote the work as part of OLTRÉ NOVA and related RSP event coverage and promotion.
Participants must ensure that any materials they provide to RSP for publication can lawfully be used for the purposes for which they are submitted.
16. Safety and Conduct
Participants must behave professionally and respectfully toward other participants, models, guests, event staff, venue personnel and members of the public.
Participants must comply with reasonable health, safety, venue and production directions.
RSP may intervene where conduct creates a safety risk, substantially disrupts the event or seriously affects another participant's ability to participate.
Serious misconduct or refusal to follow reasonable safety directions may result in removal from the event.
17. Equipment and Personal Property
Participants are responsible for their own equipment, tools, products, costumes, personal belongings and other property brought to the event unless otherwise expressly stated.
Participants should ensure that electrical equipment and other items they bring are safe and suitable for use in the venue.
RSP is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal property except to the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Participants may be responsible for damage they cause to venue or event property through negligence, misuse or deliberate conduct.
18. Schools, Academies, Salons and Organisations
A team may identify a school, academy, salon, business or organisation it represents or is associated with.
Participation by a team does not by itself create a sponsorship, partnership, agency or endorsement relationship between that organisation and RSP.
Any formal partnership or sponsorship arrangement with RSP must be separately agreed.
19. Event Cancellation, Postponement or Rescheduling
RSP may cancel, postpone, reschedule or materially modify OLTRÉ NOVA where reasonably necessary, including where participation requirements are not achieved or circumstances outside RSP's reasonable control affect the safe or practical delivery of the event.
If RSP cancels the event and does not reschedule it, RSP will provide affected registered teams with information regarding applicable refunds.
If the event is rescheduled, registrations may be transferred to the replacement date. RSP will communicate the options available to registered teams who are unable to attend the replacement date.
RSP is not responsible for separate expenses incurred by participants, such as travel, accommodation, costumes, materials or other external costs, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
20. Australian Consumer Law and Liability
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any consumer guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law that cannot legally be excluded, restricted or modified.
To the extent permitted by law, participants remain responsible for their own creative preparation, equipment, personal arrangements and participation decisions.
21. Privacy and Personal Information
RSP may collect personal information necessary to administer registrations, payments, participant communications, event operations and related OLTRÉ NOVA activities.
Information may be shared with service providers or event personnel where reasonably necessary to deliver the event, process payments or administer participation.
RSP will handle personal information in accordance with applicable privacy requirements and its published privacy practices.
22. Acceptance
By submitting the OLTRÉ NOVA registration form, accepting the required acknowledgements and completing payment, the registering participant confirms that:
they have reviewed the Participant Information Guide;
they have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions;
the information supplied is accurate to the best of their knowledge; and
they are authorised to submit the registration and provide the relevant team information.
